Karastone has appointed Nick Parsons as Chief Technology Officer. In this role, he will be responsible for technology operations as well as product strategy and development.

The Global Fund Network said digital innovation remains a key priority and Parson's appointment reflects this. Parsons will work closely with Adam Belding, who has been appointed as the new principal architect.

Belding leads Calastone's digital investment program, which enables a new digital “tokenization” investment model.

Upon his appointment, Mr. Parsons said: “I have long admired Karastone's history of adapting and innovating to meet market needs across the asset management industry, and this business will support the digitalization efforts of asset managers and servicers. “We are well placed to support this.”

“I look forward to working with Adam. [Belding] He will take on his new role as we bring our digital investment platform to market. ”

Mr. Parsons previously spent nearly 15 years at Bravura Solutions as chief technology officer, chief operating officer, and chief executive officer. Prior to that, he served as Chief Technology Officer at DST Global Solutions (now part of SS&C).

Calastone CEO Julien Hammerson welcomes the appointment. He said: “Mr. Parson's exceptional industry experience, deep technical expertise, and proven track record of strategic leadership will play an important role in strengthening Karastone's senior leadership team.

“The funds industry is undergoing a major transition towards digitalization. Mr. Parsons will help lead our future technology strategy as we scale our business and support our clients through the next phase of automation. He will.”
