Formed in 2016, a small group of women, primarily comprised of technology executives from several large companies, met at a conference and decided to exchange contact information. Messaging groups formed and we began sharing advice, celebrating promotions, and coaching each other on challenges we faced at work. These women decided that the group would be even better if they added more female technology executives to the group. They expanded their network through word of mouth and reached out to other leading (female) CIOs, CDOs, CISOs, and CTOs around the world.

This group was named “T200”. The “T” stands for technology, and the “200” stands for the goal of connecting at least 200 female C-level technology executives from leading companies. However, achieving this goal has highlighted issues with the existing pipeline of women in the technology industry: promoting talented women to leadership positions.

T200Lift was launched in 2021. This is a community initiative open to women in technology at all leadership levels, especially those aspiring to their first C-level role.
