Rohit Goyal, a former senior executive who worked in product engineering for Salesforce Commerce Cloud and other digital commerce platforms, has joined inriver as chief executive officer.

Goyal will take over the CEO role in September 2022, replacing Niels Stenfeldt, an enterprise data management veteran who retired in March. Mr. Stenfeldt joins inriver after serving as CEO of data management company Stibo Systems and holding executive positions at companies including Oracle and Oracle. SAP.

Inriver serves more than 700 customers in B2B and retail digital commerce, including cable manufacturer Prysmian Group and consumer brand New Balance. According to forecasts by research firm MarketandMarkets Inc., the global market for PIM software is expected to reach approximately $23.8 billion in 2027, up from $12.2 billion in 2022.

Inriver said Goyal previously served as senior vice president of product and engineering at e-commerce platform company Demandware, where he drove product strategy, roadmap and execution. He facilitated the sales and integration of Demandware into his Salesforce Inc. e-commerce technology and helped form the Salesforce Commerce Cloud.

Goyal also serves as an advisor to several B2B SaaS startups, including Kasisto, a digital experience platform. in Computer Science from Denison University, a Master's and PhD in Computer Science from The Ohio State University, and his MBA from MIT Sloan.
