OKLAHOMA CITY — The Oklahoma Educational Technology Trust has announced the 21 schools selected to receive grant funding for the 2024-2025 school year.

Established to provide Oklahoma schools with the latest technology and teacher training, OETT is run by the Oklahoma Community Foundation and will award each of the 21 schools $40,000 to purchase new technology equipment. Additionally, each school will receive professional development through OETT's partnership with the University of Oklahoma's K20 Center. Technology experts from the K20 Center will provide monthly support in each school, facilitating true integration of technology.

Schools will use the funds to purchase items including Apple iPads, Google Chromebooks, eSports equipment and a range of robotics and virtual reality gear.

“We believe that access to technology is not a privilege, but a necessity for all students to succeed in today's world,” said Theresa Rose, executive director of the Oklahoma Community Foundation. “We hope that by providing these grants, OETT can help close the digital divide and support and empower students to reach their full potential.”

“The K20 Centre is pleased to help this year's grant recipients embrace new technologies in their school communities,” said K20. “Students at OETT schools will develop digital literacy skills for the future job market, while creating classroom environments that foster creativity, collaboration and critical thinking.”
