Ontex's innovation is the introduction of front and back barriers in newborn and mini size baby diapers, which Ontex manufactures for its retailer partners.
Ontex Stop&Lock Anti-Leak technology has been introduced in select baby diapers in North America and will be available in major European retailers in June. In conjunction with the leg barrier, Stop&Lock Anti-Leak technology provides 360-degree protection against “poo explosions” common in breastfed and formula-fed newborns, improving baby comfort and reducing parental anxiety about major leaks, which research shows is a key consumer motivator.
Panel Testing in 20241 A European study found that 20% of parents surveyed were concerned about significant diaper leakage, with many reporting that leakage prevents them from going out or prevents their baby from sleeping or playing. In response, Ontex's front and back barriers provide 4-sided leakage protection from both urine and liquid faeces. This feature of Ontex Stop&Lock Anti-Leak technology is designed to significantly reduce the need for frequent garment changes when leakage occurs.
