Lucas Topper, GoTab's marketing specialist, said the technology GoTab uses is part of most hospitality operations.

“Many of these students have not yet worked in the hospitality industry,” Topper said. “They love the industry and want to know about the industry, but they don't have any real industry experience. So this technology allows them to understand the systems they'll use throughout their career.”

HI Hub Lab is operated within SPS Jonathan M. Tisch Center of Hospitality. The center has an undergraduate program focused on hotel and tourism management and offers graduate degrees in event management, travel and tourism management, and global hospitality management.

“Our general goal in collaborating with companies is to facilitate technology-enabled learning,” said Vanja Bogicevic, Director of HI Hub Lab. “Our main goal with GoTab and many of our other partners is to give students the opportunity to use our solutions in the classroom and see what software they will need to learn when they graduate.”
