The Department of Defense's All Area Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO), commonly known as the UFO Secretariat, released the first volume of its report on the historical record of U.S. government involvement in unidentified anomalous phenomena (UAPs) on Friday. The report says no evidence of alien technology has been found.
“AARO found no evidence that any USG investigation, academically sponsored study, or official review board confirmed that the UAP sightings represented extraterrestrial technology. All investigations at all classification levels. “Efforts have led us to conclude that most sightings are of common objects or phenomena and are the result of misidentification,” the report's summary states at the outset.
UAP or “Unidentified Aerial Phenomenon” is the official U.S. government term for UFOs. Although many UFO sightings remain unsolved or unconfirmed, AARO's assessment found that they would have been identified and resolved had better data been available. did. It says that in the majority of cases there is no actionable data, or the data available is limited or of poor quality.
“AARO has found no substantive evidence for the claim that the USG and private companies are reverse engineering extraterrestrial technology.Based on all information provided to date, AARO has found no “We have determined that claims about persons, known locations, technology testing, and documents purporting to involve or relate to reverse engineering extraterrestrial technology are inaccurate,” the report added.
This appears to be a response to former US Air Force intelligence officer David Grusch's previous claims that the US has alien aircraft. Mr. Grusch made similar claims during sworn testimony before the U.S. Congress, suggesting that the country may be in possession of the remains of foreign nationals.
Grusch said the U.S. government carried out a decades-long program to collect crashed UFOs and attempt to reverse engineer them. He also claimed to have been denied access to the government's secret UFO program and to know of “people who have been harmed or injured” in the government's efforts to hide UFO information.
AARO says it has found no evidence of government involvement in these alleged programs or actions.
