Seatrium Limited (Seatrium or the Group) and Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT), Singapore's first applied learning university, have entered into an innovative partnership to pave the way for industrial digital learning and applied research collaboration. This forward-thinking initiative will be realized through the establishment of a state-of-the-art digital learning lab designed to accelerate the adoption of innovative maritime technology at SIT's new Punggol campus.
Through this partnership, Seatrium and SIT will focus their collaborative efforts on three strategic pillars: digital yard technology, 5G industrial applications, and smart microgrids. Through collaboration on knowledge exchange, training, and applied research opportunities in these areas, the partnership will jointly solve real-world problems, such as leveraging artificial intelligence (AI) and simulation models to improve the energy efficiency of yard operations.
