Frost Brown Todd has appointed Ann Wang and Lauren Schneider as partners.

The two join the firm's Los Angeles office, having previously been partners at Lewis Roca Rothgerber Christie.

Barry Visconte, head of Frost Brown Todd's IP practice group, described the pair as “highly skilled” and “respected.”

With nearly 35 years of experience, Wang specializes in creating and managing patent portfolios in the mechanical, electromechanical, and electrical systems fields, including optical lasers, computer graphics, apparel, cosmetics, toys, and musical instruments.

Due to his background in physics, Mr. Wang has particular expertise in medical devices, interferometers, electromechanical devices, amusement park rides, and gas sensors and detectors.

She has also secured trademark portfolios for a wide range of clients in the fashion, cosmetics, solar panels and roofing, food, restaurant, and office products industries.

Throughout his career, Mr. Wang has focused on trademark matters, patent prosecutions, infringement litigation, enforcement and licensing programs, and due diligence analysis.

Schneider brings more than 20 years of experience to the firm with a focus on U.S. and international patent procurement, portfolio development, licensing and monetization.

She advises clients ranging from small businesses to large research institutions across diverse technology areas including life sciences, chemistry, materials science, optics, and mechanics.

Her experience includes pharmaceuticals, nutraceuticals, food science, polymer chemistry, battery technology, thin film chemistry including optical films and adhesives, medical devices, OLEDs, OLED chemistry, and optics.

Schneider also provides opinions on patentability, validity, infringement, and freedom of operation, and her experience includes: Parties review Proceedings before the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
