East Georgia State University (EGSC) was recently appointed ashley woods As a result of a thorough public recruitment process for the next division leader, he was appointed as vice president of information technology. Woods has been interim vice president of information technology since November.

Ashley Woods is a native and proud resident of Swainsboro, Georgia, where his dedication to information technology has contributed to EGSC's success. A graduate of Swainsboro High School, Woods has successfully blended his local roots with his distinguished career in information technology. For the past 16 years, he has been an active member of his EGSC community, contributing his expertise and leadership in a variety of roles. His recent role as Information Security Officer for Information Technology highlights his commitment to ensuring the confidentiality and integrity of digital assets within the institution.

Woods' educational journey reflects his continued pursuit of knowledge, leadership, and excellence. He began his studies at EGSC, where he earned an associate's degree and laid the foundation for his future success. Based on this foundation, he expanded his expertise in this field by earning a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology from Southern University in Georgia.
Demonstrating a commitment to the highest standards, Woods furthered his education at Augusta University, earning a master's degree in information security management. His professional journey has been marked by a passion for technology, a commitment to excellence, and his collaborative spirit.
